Active Weekend of Severe Weather!

The models are finally showing Sw flow over the Plains this weekend with a potential setup lasting from today through Sun with a brief lull before more active weather next week. Anyway we will be out and about the next few days chasing. Michael C. will be chasing solo today in Colorado where there is a chance at some supercells with a small tornado potential, tomorrow Michael C. will be back out in NE CO where an even better chance at supercells and tornadoes become real, Sat and Sun Michael C. and Dann C., along with myself and my dad will all be out chasing KS/NE/IA with a good tornado threat in S NE/N KS Sat, and an INSANE setup over Iowa on Sunday with some unbelievable conditions taking shape. Sunday could be a VERY intense and damaging day if the GFS tell us anything so if you live in E NE/Iowa please stay tuned...

Incredible Supercell Intercepted in Colorado!

Earlier today Michael C. and Dann Cianca intercepted a beautiful supercell in north Denver that provided them with some incredible photo ops as it slowly moved across the N burbs of town. You can head over to his blog here to see his pics and a video which he should have up soon. In the meantime take a look at the awesome meso he intercepted two days ago in E Colorado as well. Though we are in a death ridge Colorado is lighting up with surprises nearly everyday!

Possible Pattern Shift and Canada Chasing

Well the GFS is finally showing a glimmer of hope with the potential for some good NW flow events and possibly weak SW flow events starting next week into the weekend. It is way far out but it is nice to see and to make things even better by the first weekend of June the GFS is indicating the monster trough we have been waiting for plow into the Plains!

Also I am currently working on getting my passport for a trip to Canada in July my dad and I are planning on taking to chase some of the incredible supercells and tornadoes of the N Plains we will also be chasing the Dakotas, Montana, and Minnesota. I have an action packed summer ahead with chasing the Plains, a fishing trip to Hells Canyon for monster sturgeon, a kayak and fishing trip to the Jack River in the Ozarks, the Canada trip in July, and finally a trip to Sandbridge Beach, VA for a family reunion in August! Stay tuned to the blog as I will be updating with my usual chase blogs as well as photos and videos from our trips. Stay tuned...
